Eat'n crackers

Not much go'n on this evening. Just sit'n here at my computer munch'n on some saltine crackers. I finished up a Halloween pillow earlier this evening, and might try to get some things listed on Etsy before I go to bed.

Got the oil changed in the car today, then checked my booth at the antique mall and went to JoAnn's for some fabric...had my 40% off coupon with me...yay. Hubby and I then went to Panera's for dinner...salads...and to the DQ afterwards for a cone...yummers. We both figure if we eat a salad, it's only right that we splurge with the ice cream...heeeheee!!!

Pretty good day today. Still hotter than poo out there, but better than be'n the middle of Winter and not be'n able to be outside at all :-)

Off to the mall...

No...not to shop...dern it. I'm off to the mall to walk...I confess...I'm a mall walker...lol!!! It's too hot outside...over 80 degrees today...so it's to the mall I go. Jamboree week though...lots of peeps to oogle and awe at...so I won't be bored...heeeheeee!!!

Jamboree In The Hills

Once a year...every July...our little city turns into the host of the biggest country music festival in the country. Jamboree In The Hills...also known as the "Super Bowl" of country music...brings in thousands and thousands of people. For one week in July every year, the residents here brace themselves and ready for the hustle and bustle that ensues. The 4 day music festival and the people it brings in, is wonderful for our local economy. However...lol...it's also a bit crazy with so many people in such a small area, who aren't used to so much traffic and long lines at the super market and mall. To locals, it's a bit funny as well, that during this one week in July every year, ALL the local stores now carry coolers, lawn chairs, spray bottles, suntan lotion, sunglasses and marde gras beads...which will be on sale and marked down 50% next week...haaaa!!!!!! Once nice thing though, is that the festival IS televised here locally...so we local yocals can sit at home in the cool air conditioning and enjoy the music and entertainment for free :-)
